After completing her training, Hélène offered to teach the tools of mindfulness to the children of the primary school in her village. Her 1st grade teacher friend was delighted to welcome her into hes class but the Principal refused. "I realized that I had to inform people, explain to them what the practice is about and answer the questions they might ask, and that inspired me to make this film. I asked Eric, my husband director, if he wanted to create it, he accepted and we jumped together in the project. With the United States always a step ahead in innovation and after having trained there, we wanted to show the initiatives that are already in place and working so that everyone can form their own opinion. We also want to show the existing initiatives in France and other places. There will be other films on the subject of mindfulness, dear to our heart! " They organize filming from France and Eric leaves alone with his camera to tour schools and institutions in the San Francisco Bay Area for five weeks. He realized the editing in France from their home village Spéracèdes. |
Synopsis :
Mindfulness meditation is a secular practice that appeals to many adults, but also to children of all ages and backgrounds. Supported by numerous scientific studies, it is becoming common today in schools. This new educational approach is a response to the needs of students and teachers.
